Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA)

A chemical exfoliant which gets its roots mostly from fruit, sugar cane and animal-derived products such as milk. AHAs are water-soluble acids which help peel away dead skin cells by loosening the bonds between surface cells, and they also boost collagen production. Glycolic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, and citric acid are among the most widely known and used AHAs.
