The Bebot Makeup Trend Taking Over TikTok

Inspired by the bold, high-glam beauty looks of Filipino women in the 2000s, Bebot makeup is having a major moment on TikTok. The aesthetic is loud, sculpted, and unapologetically nostalgic. Here’s what defines it.

At a time when clean girl beauty still dominates the feed, Bebot makeup lands differently. It’s moodier, flashier, and impossible to scroll past. Long before it became a viral beauty reference, bebot was already part of everyday Filipino slang. Popularized in the 1980s, it’s a casual way of saying “babe” or “pretty woman.” The word gained wider recognition in 2005 when the Black Eyed Peas released Bebot, a track celebrating Filipino culture and its beauty aesthetic. Today, that same aesthetic is being rediscovered by a new generation scrolling it back into relevance.

Bebot makeup is all about the eyes. Think cool-toned gray and silver shadows blended from deep to light across the lid, creating a sculpted, almost metallic gradient. Rim the waterline and lower lash line with a black pencil, then softly smudge it for that smoked, early-2000s finish.

Brows carry the attitude. Slim, sharply defined arches are essential to the look. Sketch them in with a fine brow pencil, then use concealer to sharpen the edges and clean up any excess. The contrast between structured brows and frosted lids gives the look its edge. For lips, reach for a brown liner to contour and define, then finish with a muted brown or softly shimmery gloss.

To see the Bebot makeup look in motion, TikTok creators Şeyda Erdoğan (@seyda), Kimberly Kim (@kimberlykimpena), Sophie Grace (@s.ophiegrace), and Aylen Park (@aylennpark) are great places to start.
